Blooming Marvellous at Linton School

The pupils and staff at Linton School, Freckleton, have been immersed in changing a space of land from an unsightly, rotten pergola and decking to a pretty, encouraging biodiversity, natural habitats sensory wellbeing garden.

To make the ground level, digging began and approximately 250 bricks, plastic, old tarpaulin and rubbish was removed before adding 3 ton of top soil. The pupils worked well as a team and many learning opportunities were had. The pupils showed resilience and care for nature and gave a sense of pride on completion.

This is a space for nurture, peace and a place of reflection to support pupils with personal challenges. The process has taken a couple of months through many weather challenges and the pupils are very proud of the space they have created.
